ESL is excited to be presenting at the 2015 Live Design International show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show hosts thousands of entertainment related industry workers, and is considered the leading global tradeshow and conference for live design professionals. A wide variety of companies exhibit and attend, including those working in theatre, concerts, clubs, theme parks and houses of worship. The week is filled with live demos, and face-to-face discussions about the newest technologies and trends. Visit ESL at the American Association of Port Authorities 2015 Facilities Engineering Seminar and Expo. This year, the event is held at the Marriott San Diego Gaslamp Quarter from October 20th – 22nd. Conference topics include: Major Industry Projects, Technology Transfer in the Port Sector, Aging Infrastructure, Automated Terminals, Application of Technology in Engineered Products and more. The exhibition floor will be packed with key industry leaders that will be showcasing products, technologies and trends.
ESL’s President, Michael Hellmers, is proud to be speaking at 2015 TOC Americas in Panama. On Tuesday, October 13th, Hellmers will be presenting during the Tech TOC seminar that focuses on Managing New Terminal Power & Data Requirements. “As port equipment gets faster, larger, more automated and more connected, power and data transmission needs are changing. The trend to electrify cranes and mobile equipment continues to gain momentum, alongside hybrid power solutions, alternative ‘clean’ fuels and electrical shore power for vessels, driven both by environmental legislation and corporate social responsibility. Over the Labor Day Weekend, ESL’s team was busy completing a scheduled upgrade to the warehouse. The overhaul required that the shipping department be shut down completely, for the first time in nearly 25 years. Throughout the holiday weekend, employees worked diligently by adding new machines, re-organizing materials, and applying a brand new industrial strength epoxy flooring to the shop. By Tuesday morning, the facility was ready to go, and better prepared to operate more efficiently. This planned renovation will allow ESL to better serve customers.
