Recently, ESL Power Systems Family of Companies was recognized as an outstanding Inland Empire business at the 2014 Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards. ESL was one of 3 finalists in the Manufacturing Entrepreneur category, after being selected from a pool of more than 130 local nominees. The black-tie event was held on November 13th, at the newly renovated Riverside Convention Center, and drew a crowd of 760 attendees, made up of nominees and their supporters.
Since its inception in 2004, The Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards event has recognized more than 300 companies for their excellence. Michael Hellmers, President of ESL Power Systems, stood before a record-breaking crowd, moments before a video was shown, highlighting a handful of ESL’s achievements to date. Family owned since 1991, ESL Power Systems has worked hard to become an innovative leader in the design and manufacturing of safety-interlock solutions.
Mr. Hellmers was honored to be amongst so many talented business owners, all of whom have had to overcome a constantly changing marketplace. ESL was chosen for recognition due to their tremendous growth and expansion, their commitment to research and development, and their ongoing charitable contributions. Former owners Carol and Denis Crawford were also in attendance, along with other members of the ESL team.
