ESL shines proudly in Corona, CA

ESL Power Systems, Inc. recently added a little light to its Corona office by installing a new bright sign to the top of the building. The sign came at the suggestion of an employee, who noticed that he couldn’t easily spy the company from the 91 freeway while driving at night. The owners agreed, and had a lovely illuminated sign added in ESL’s signature teal color to the facade of the building.

Preventative maintenance is underrated. It is one of the most simple and effective things that you can do to save yourself time, money and stress. By performing regular checks on your reefer outlets, you are likely to catch any potential problems early-on, and have the opportunity to repair them before anything gets worse. All of us have experienced some level of panic or drama that comes when something that we rely on breaks unexpectedly. Regular maintenance is one way to help and avoid those stressful and unwanted situations.

Reefer outlet maintenance inspections should occur each year, and after any severe short circuit. The work should be conducted by qualified personnel only. Be sure to perform maintenance on equipment only after the power has been turned off, disconnected, and electrically isolated.  Move through each step, paying attention to any areas that may require cleaning or replacement.

On April 22nd, predictions were announced for the 2015 Atlantic hurricane season. The Weather Channel says that we can expect a total of nine named storms and five hurricanes which is below the historical averages. The 30-year average is 12 named storms and six hurricanes, including three major hurricanes (meaning a Category 3 or stronger).
Meteorologist Dr. Todd Crawford of The Weather Channel Professional Division says, “Both the dynamical models and our proprietary statistical models suggest a relatively quiet tropical season this year.” Read more →
