ESL Power Systems, Inc. is proud to have sponsored the MXD Tennis Championship Tournament this past weekend, in an effort to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes. The mixed doubles event helped raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Seattle Guild, an organization that has raised more than $56 million since its foundation in 1970.
This isn’t the first time the power distribution manufacturer has helped support the cause. For the past 6 years, ESL has raised thousands of dollars in support of JDRF’s fight to cure type-1 diabetes, a disease that affects millions of adults and children each year. This November ESL will continue this tradition during the “Walk To Cure Diabetes” at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, one of over two hundred walks held around the country each year. The JDRF walk has helped raise over 1 billion dollars towards research in an effort to turn “Type One into Type None”.
Another organization that has benefited from ESL’s philanthropic efforts is Global Grins, an organization dedicated to providing toothbrushes to as many impoverished people around the world as possible. Carlos Valero, International Sales Manager, partook in this effort by joining the Global Grins Delivery Squad, helping to deliver toothbrushes across Mexico and Panama.
